I went to the Doctor to see Owen on Wednesday, August 20th. Owen weighs 3 pounds and 6 ounces at 30 weeks and is right where he is supposed to be! I always feel more assured when I hear those words! We tried and tried to get a good picture of his face, but of course, we couldn't. We could not see any of his face in 4D. I did get to see a little hand with 5 fingers, but that was it! I got a couple of 3D pics of his profile. Another great update....on August 16th, Owen had the hiccups and I felt them for the first time! It was so neat! He had them for about 10 minutes!!

Due Date Update! Oh My!

WELL.......I went for my regular doctor appointment on Wednesday, July 30th for the gestational diabetes test. That drink was horrible! It made me sick to my stomach. Anyway, I drank it all, then had my blood drawn and they said they would call me in the next couple of days and let me know the results. But the BIG news from this appointment was that she set the date for my C-Section!!!!!!! THURSDAY, OCTOBER 16th!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't even believe it. At that point, I started getting really nervous! I am so scared of the operation! I think having a date actually set, made it more real! On another note, they called me 2 days later and said I DO NOT have diabetes (YEA!!!) but I am anemic (BOO!) and have to start taking iron pills! I go back for another sonogram with the specialist on August 21st, so be on the lookout for more pics of Owen soon!

The Nursery is Complete....well almost!

Finally! Over the weekend of July 18th, Billy and I went and bought Owen's changing table and crib and put it all together. The room is almost done. We still have to get a bookcase and a glider. He already has so many books. Pam has brought over a lot of books of Billy and Gene's when they were babies. I can't wait for the entire room to be done and for us to have bedding for the crib! I have 2 showers coming up. The first one is Sunday, August 31st in Pine Bluff, hosted by Jennifer Watkins and Lena Davis. The second shower is in Fort Worth, September 13th, hosted by Jodi Beard, Carol Rees, Bridget Shelton & Alex Gorman Smith. Although Owen already has a closet full of clothes from family members, I know he will get so many great things! We have truly been blessed in our lives with a great family, friends, dogs, and soon....a wonderful son! We have a charmed life!

Painting the Nursery!

Dad & Cheryl drove down for the 4th of July weekend, just to paint Owen's nursery. We are doing the room in blue and brown. They did such a wonderful job! Now we just need to get furniture!

My Growing Belly

My belly finally started to get bigger....

Billy and I got to see my belly move for the first time on Wednesday, July 16th. We were both so amazed.

26 Weeks Sonogram!

July 23, 2008~I now weigh 119 pounds. Owen weighs 1 pound and 14 ounces. I cannot believe how much he has grown. I feel him moving inside my belly all the time, and it is truly the most amazing experience I have ever had. I know that once he is born, I will miss those movements! And true to form, Owen did everything in his power to hide his face from us. He managed to have a hand, a foot and the cord, all in front of his face! But we were able to get this one good picture of his face. Is that not the cutest nose and lips you have ever seen??

24 Weeks Sonogram

June 26, 2008~I went back to Pine Bluff to host a bachelorette shower for Courtney. While I was in Pine Bluff, she got us another sonogram! Mom & Dad came to the doctors office to see Baby Owen! We got lots of good 4D pictures of him! Here is just one of his little face and hands balled together.

23 Weeks Sonogram

June 23, 2008~23 Weeks!! We went to see the specialist and I now weigh 115 pounds. I got in trouble for only having gained 3 pounds the entire pregnancy! I have been instructed to eat a lot more protein and even Instant Carnation Breakfast with ice cream! I have to eat 6 meals a day and make sure I get a minimum of 2200 calories a day. However, Owen is right where he is supposed to be....14 ounces!

17 Weeks Sonogram!

May 14, 2008! 17 weeks along we went to see the baby at the specialist office. Again, they told us they were almost 100% positive it was a little boy! How cute is this 4D pic of the little man rubbing his eye!!

14 Weeks Sonogram!

Here I am at 14 weeks! I went home to Pine Bluff for Lena's baby shower and Courtney got me into to the doctor for an ultrasound to see the baby! We still had no idea if the baby was a boy or a girl, but Gayla said she was pretty certain it was a boy! Dad and Courtney came to see!

My first Sonogram!

This was our first sonogram! The first time we got to see our little peanut, on March 27th, 2008. My Mom came into town just to see the baby and Billy and Pam were there as well. It was the most amazing thing to hear his heartbeat!
